One of the most famous names in Hollywood, Kevin Bacon, wanted to be an anonymous person for a day. During an interview with Vanity Fair, published on Wednesday, July 3, the 65-year-old movie star revealed that he dressed up in prosthetics to blend in with regular people while walking around the tourist spot in Los Angeles — The Grove.
«I consulted with a special effects specialist and asked him to create a prosthetic transformation for me», - the actor from «Footloose» told the publication. «I'm not complaining, but I have a pretty recognizable face. Wearing a hat and glasses only helps to a certain extent».
After stepping out onto the street, Kevin recalled how «no one recognized» him in the prosthetic nose, false teeth, and glasses, which was a stark contrast to being stopped by fans for selfies everywhere he went.
«People kind of pushed past me, didn’t show any friendliness», - Kevin said. «No one said 'I love you.' I had to stand in line to, I don’t know, buy damn coffee or something else».
After experiencing the drawbacks of being an ordinary person, Kevin admitted, «I was kind of bored. I want to go back to my fame».
Thanks to his meteoric rise in 1980s cinema, Kevin became a well-known name. He starred in some of Hollywood’s most famous films, including «A Few Good Men» and «Apollo 13». In recent years, Kevin has appeared in various genres, from comedy to horror. Some of his most popular films include «Crazy, Stupid, Love» and «Them/Us». This year, he can be seen in two productions: «Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F» and «Maxine».
«I am honestly very grateful for where I am», - Kevin told Vanity Fair in his latest interview, adding that he «fought long and hard» to achieve such success. «Becoming an actor who has the opportunity to take risks was very difficult to achieve in this industry, because Hollywood wants you to do the same thing as last time [your film], which made money»
