Kate Cassidy remembered the last moments spent with Liam Payne on the second anniversary of his death. The 27-year-old influencer posted a series of posts on Instagram on October 16 to honor the memory of her late boyfriend.
Cassidy shared an archival video of the couple playing, with Payne lifting her into the air. The video included the text: «Cherish every moment with loved ones». She noted that she is very grateful that this was their last video and their last moment together. In the caption, she wrote: «2 years ❤️». The second video with Payne was captioned: «I love you forever and always».
In her Instagram Stories, Cassidy also shared several photos of the former One Direction member, including selfies of the couple. In one of the posts, she wrote: «Two years without you, but an eternity of memories», - adding: «My beautiful boy, I love you!!!»
Liam Payne passed away in October 2024 after falling from the third-floor balcony of the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires. He was 31 years old. Before his death, Cassidy was vacationing in Argentina with Payne and returned to the U.S. just a few days before the tragedy. She later admitted that she regretted leaving the country without Payne.
In an interview with The Sun in February 2025, Cassidy noted that she never thought it would end this way, and if she could look into the future, she would not have left Argentina. In March 2025, she spoke about how difficult it has been for her to cope with Payne’s loss, especially considering that his death was unexpected. Cassidy confessed that she often talks about him in the present tense and does not feel the need to correct herself, which is part of her healing process.
