Kate Middleton has once again been recognized as the best in fashion in Britain for the year 2026

This week, not one, but a whole TWO polls about emotional support took place! The first of them is the YouGov poll on the most popular members of the royal family. Strangely, the names of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex still appear in the polls, despite the fact that they have been living in California since 2020. It’s no surprise that Prince William barely edged out his wife to become the most popular member of the royal family! No one believes these numbers, but okay! In general, Princess Kate was furious, and Tatler awarded her something special: she was named the most stylish woman in Britain for 2026. The first of the best-dressed women who bankrupted a dozen British brands with her Midas touch in reverse!
The Princess of Wales topped the list of the most stylish women in Britain for 2026. The 44-year-old Kate made the list compiled by the fashion and lifestyle magazine Tatler, alongside pop star Dua Lipa’s brother and «Bridgerton» star Hannah Dodd.
Kate, who previously held the top spot on Tatler’s list in 2022, was recognized by the magazine for her return to the spotlight after a break from royal duties in 2024 due to a cancer diagnosis and treatment.
The publication noted that Kate «regained her health and returned to the status of Britain’s fashion heroine», - calling her «the most stylish figure in Britain», - whose fashion choices «illuminate royal events».
The princess often receives praise for her elegant and vibrant outfits, drawing attention at Royal Ascot this year when she appeared in a bold yellow ensemble with a matching hat.
I’ll add a few fashionable photos of Kate from this year. I’ll say something slightly nice—I appreciate that someone (I assume, William) increased her clothing allowance last year because she has been wearing new dresses, new coats, and new outfits in the style of Meghan/Diana quite consistently. I still shudder when I think about the two-year period when Kate wore the same pants, blazers, or Self Portrait outfits several times over a few weeks. And all of this was when Natasha Archer was her stylist. Kate’s style after Archer left was… tolerable. Better than I thought it would be after her right-hand woman suddenly left her. Kate’s style post-Archer also showed the world that she doesn’t need Natasha Archer to keep up with her Meghan-style fashion looks. Kate is clearly managing her Meghan looks herself (and Archer seems to be maintaining her own separate fashion archive of Meghan).
