According to The New York Times, a warrant for Sutherland’s arrest was not issued, but he turned himself in to the police in 2009. The charges against him were dropped after he issued an apology.
In 2017, Sutherland failed a sobriety test after making an illegal U-turn and was arrested by the Los Angeles police. He was released on bail set at $ 25,000.
