Kim Kardashian will join Halle Berry and Glenn Close to create a legal drama in a series created by Ryan Murphy, with all four serving as executive producers of the show.
As reported by Variety, the series, announced back in December, is currently titled «All Fair». The show is described as a «high-end, glossy, and sexy adult procedural». In it, Kardashian, 43, will play the role of the most successful divorce lawyer in Los Angeles and owner of a female law firm.
«All Fair» will be the first series for the 58-year-old mega-producer as part of his new deal with Disney, involving 20th Television, a part of Disney TV Studios, in association with Ryan Murphy Television. John Robin Baitz, Joe Beck, Jamie Pachino, Laura Green, and Richard Levin are also serving as executive producers alongside Murphy, Kardashian, and Berry along with her production partner Holly Jeter through their production company HalleHolly and Close through her banner Trillium Productions. Kris Jenner, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, and Scott Robertson are also executive producers. Murphy also intends to direct.
As is usual for Murphy’s shows, details about the roles Berry and Close will play are being kept under wraps.
Berry, 57, is an Oscar-winning actress who received the gold statue for her role in «Monster's Ball», becoming the first and only African American woman to win in the Best Actress category. «All Fair» will be Berry’s first series regular role since «Extant» on CBS in 2015. Among Berry’s recent works are «Moonfall», the MMA drama «Bruised», «John Wick: Chapter 3», and «Kingsman: The Golden Circle».
For 77-year-old Glenn Close, this role marks a return to television legal dramas. She famously portrayed the renowned lawyer Patty Hewes in the FX series «Damages». She received two out of her three Emmy awards, as well as a Golden Globe, for her work on the show. Close is also a 14-time Emmy nominee and won her other statue for the TV movie «Serving in Silence: The Margarethe Cammermeyer Story».
While Kim may not have extensive experience in television and film, this will be the second time the reality TV star will work with Murphy, the creator of «American Horror Story», as she previously appeared in the latest season of «American Horror Story: Delicate» in a role specifically written for her
