Kirsten Dunst will always be Captain Torrance! Returning to the year 2000, the 42-year-old actress was spotted on Sunday, August 18, in a video on Instagram, joining her team of fans from the movie «Bring It On».

«Hate us because we’re beautiful. Well, we don’t like you either», - she said as the camera zoomed in on the star of the movie «Civil War» at Cinespia. «We're fans, we’re fans. Roll call!»

Taking her place in the audience, Kirsten took the stage to introduce her fun cult film from 2000. According to other videos taken by fans on social media, she proudly addressed the crowd in true captain style: «I'm T-T-Torrance. Your Captain Torrance! Let’s go, Toros!»

Then Kirsten added, «Oh my God, guys, this is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. I’m so excited. My friends and family are here. I’ll be watching with you. I haven’t seen these movies since I was a teenager, with an audience. I’m so grateful».

Over the weekend, Cinespia held a double feature showing of Kirsten’s films «Bring It On» and «The Virgin Suicides» at their annual pajama party in Los Angeles.

«Bring It On» was one of Kirsten’s first films. She was 17 when she worked on this production. In the film, she plays Torrance Shipman: the captain of the school cheerleading team from San Diego, who learns that the Toros are performing the same choreography as a rival school.

Earlier this year, Kirsten said she is «definitely» open to reuniting with her cheerleader colleagues in another film.

«But the script has to be really good, because sometimes it can be sad if they’re not good», - said the actress from «Spider-Man» during an appearance on Good Morning America in April. «I was just as surprised as everyone that it was such a huge success. We really didn’t know… how it affected our culture».

During the GMA interview, Kirsten explained how she found her place in cinema. Promoting her dystopian film «Civil War» from 2024, the actress noted that she ultimately found her «own taste in movies and discovered films».

«For me, the most important thing was to be in 'Interview with the Vampire', where there was a very male collective, and then immediately move on to 'Little Women', which was directed by a woman», - said Kirsten. «I think that comparison at such a young age really defined my choices to work with many women after that»
