Kjersti Flaa is waiting for an apology from actress Blake Lively after an unpleasant interview

Norwegian entertainment journalist Kjersti Flaa, who almost quit her job after a 2016 interview with actress Blake Lively, says that the star still hasn’t apologized for the comments made during their exchange — an apology she still welcomes.
Lively, who is currently embroiled in a scandal with her co-star in the movie «He's All That» Justin Baldoni, came under fire after Flaa posted an excerpt on August 9 from an «uncomfortable» conversation they had during a press event in 2016 for the movie «Cafe Society».
In the excerpt, Flaa congratulated Lively on her «little bump» — referring to Lively’s then-public second pregnancy — only for the actress to sarcastically throw the comment back at the non-pregnant interviewer. The situation became even more awkward when Lively shifted her attention to her co-star Parker Posey to her left, seemingly ignoring Flaa in front of her, despite Posey’s attempts to include her in the conversation.
After uploading the video on YouTube, Flaa, who «hadn't read about all the other scandals» related to Lively and her new movie, shared another video on her channel, explaining why she decided to publish the «horrible» interview.
«It affected me for a while, because I was nervous when interviewing other people after that. I blamed myself for a long time, feeling like I had done or said something wrong», - Flaa admitted.
She recalled meeting another journalist who had a negative interaction with another celebrity, but his recording was confiscated.
«They confiscated his recording after the interview, and he wondered if something similar had happened to me», - Flaa shared. «I told him about the horrible interview with Blake Lively and [said] that I never wanted to share it with anyone, because the experience traumatized me so much».
Flaa told Daily Mail that as a person suffering from infertility, Lively’s comment left her «almost paralyzed».
«Honestly, it hurt because obviously I wasn’t pregnant, and I could never get pregnant, so for me that comment was like a bullet», - she said.
In her recent video, Flaa noted the huge support she received from thousands of people sharing their own experiences with «mean girl energy» or feelings of «exclusion or bullying».
«Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You make me continue to do this work, and the fact that this situation, which was so awful for me, turned into something positive and maybe can help other people in the future», - she said.
Despite the time that has passed since the 2016 interview, Flaa remains skeptical that Lively will ever apologize, but hopes that this situation will make others reconsider their behavior, especially when it comes to minor misunderstandings or unnecessary hostility.
Flaa speculated that many Hollywood stars «don't admit their mistakes because they’re afraid it might reflect badly on them», adding: «It's time to change that».
«If she wants to apologize, that would be amazing», - Flaa told TMZ. «I think if you behave badly, if you acknowledge it and say, 'I had a terrible day, I’m so sorry,' maybe she’ll understand something from that and won’t behave like that anymore. Of course, that would be very welcome».
«Although I don’t think it will happen», - she added. «I don’t think so»
