Kody Brown left the show «Sister Wives» before the start of Season 21, but continues to create tension among his ex-wives due to disputes over the sale of their land. Janelle Brown stated in an interview during the premiere on October 4 that Kody’s apologies were insincere, as there had been no contact since then, and he «very publicly undermined» her reputation.
Janelle noted that Kody’s claims that she wanted to make a «backdoor deal» with him, excluding Meri Brown from the sale of the Coyote Pass land, are false. She shared that Kody began spreading this story after he and Robyn Brown stopped filming the show. According to her, «a few months after the deal closed, he started saying that I was supposedly trying to act behind Meri’s back».
In the episode, Meri also admitted that she does not know all the details, but she has the impression that Janelle and Kody discussed the sale of the land in Arizona without her consent. She expressed doubt about who is telling the truth and noted that Kody and Robyn are «not willing» to discuss it, which makes her uneasy.
Janelle, for her part, emphasized that she has always tried to be honest in her business dealings and pointed to Kody as the source of the problems. She stated that Kody’s accusations were personal and shocking, as many began to believe him, including Meri, who herself was not sure of the truth.
When Janelle and Meri met to discuss the situation, they found themselves on different sides. Janelle said that Kody continues to «stir the conflict», - while Meri expressed confusion about what is happening. In the end, Janelle assured that she never tried to exclude Meri from the deal and just wants this conflict to end.
The show «Sister Wives» airs on TLC on Sundays at 10 PM Eastern Time.
