Will she choose her first love or the man who stole her heart? Fans of the series «The Summer I Became Pretty» followed Belly Conklin’s journey (played by Lola Tung) from her teenage years to college in the Prime Video series based on Jenny Han’s popular books of the same name. Now, with the release of the third and final season, we are all dying to know the answer to one question: who will Belly ultimately end up with — Jeremy Fisher or Conrad Fisher?

Conrad is about two years older than Belly. In the third season, he is 23 and Belly is 21.
Jeremy proposes to Belly in the second episode of the third season, after they briefly broke up. Since Belly accepts his proposal, it seems like they are actually going to get married in the TV series. But only time will tell as the rest of the third season unfolds. We are only at the beginning of the season, so everything could change.
If the show follows the books, Belly will end up with Conrad. But so far, the Prime Video series does not closely follow the book series. Fans have noticed several obvious differences.
In June 2022, author Jenny Han, who is also the creator and showrunner of the Prime Video series, told Variety that her vision for the show differs slightly from the books she wrote.
«I really had to weigh what the fans expect with where the show creatively is going and find that balance», - Jenny explained. «My priority has always been for fans of the books to feel really satisfied with the story we are telling, but also to know that this is an adaptation in a new medium, so it won’t be exactly the same».
Jenny then hinted, «You never know what can happen with the show. I was open going into it. I considered a lot of different possibilities».
