Colin Jost jokes about his wife Scarlett Johansson: «She hates privacy!»

Colin Jost is not obligated to save his joke for «Weekend Update». A cast member of Saturday Night Live, 41 years old, hosted the White House Correspondents' Dinner this year and couldn’t help but joke about being in the shadow of his wife, Scarlett Johansson. Pointing towards the second gentleman Doug Emhoff, husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, Colin playfully joked about the fame of their wives.
«Doug, as you can tell from all the comments about my wife, I too am used to being the second gentleman», - the comedian said.
Later, Colin thanked Scarlett for supporting his career. However, he couldn’t help but joke about how she «hates private life» because of her fame.
«I want to thank my wife for putting up with a lot of jokes and agreeing to meet everyone in this room right after the ceremony», - he said. «It's really special, dear, thank you. Don’t be shy, come right up. She hates private life!»
Colin and Scarlett have been married since October 2020. They kept much of their romantic relationship away from the public eye, but that didn’t stop them from occasionally expressing their love.
During a conversation with Gwyneth Paltrow on her podcast «Goop» in April 2023, the Marvel star admitted that she didn’t know she «wanted or needed someone else» until she met Colin.
«I never realized, 'Oh, it’s really important to me, I need to be with a compassionate person. It’s a fundamental characteristic that needs to be there,'» Scarlett said. «And I think understanding what those fundamental things you need in a partner are is essential, I think, for longevity, anyway. I think defining those things was a game-changer for me»
