Collin Gosselin accused mother Kate of physical abuse

Collin Gosselin, one of the children from the famous reality show «Jon & Kate Plus 8», - has made serious allegations against his mother, Kate Gosselin, regarding alleged physical and psychological abuse. In an interview with «Extra», - he shared his experiences while promoting his book «In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood».
According to Collin, Kate spoke about him in front of his siblings, claiming that he needed special help that she could not provide. He also stated that he was subjected to physical abuse by his mother, who, he said, «hit him». Collin noted that he was sent to a behavioral institution at the age of 11, where he spent 22 months. He recalled writing a letter to his father to inform him of his whereabouts.
In his book, Collin claims that Kate not only physically but also psychologically tormented him, including instances where she locked him in a room built in the basement. He mentioned that the process of writing the book was difficult for him but also healing.
Kate Gosselin has firmly denied her son’s allegations. Collin, for his part, stated that his mental health was confirmed by an assessment that refuted all the diagnoses his mother attributed to him.
Collin also reported that he maintains a relationship with his father, Jon, but does not communicate with most of his siblings since they were teenagers. He has returned to television by participating in the FOX show «Stars on Mars», - expressing confidence that he can last longer than his mother, who left the show after the first challenge.
Regarding the possibility of rehabilitating his relationship with Kate, Collin noted that she would need to take responsibility for her past actions.
