Collin Nichol Lemmon charged with the murder of her two sons

A woman has been arrested in Texas, accused of murdering her two sons. Collin Nicole Lemmon has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder after her 21-year-old son, Christopher Scott Pietr, and her 15-year-old son, whose name has not been disclosed, were found with gunshot wounds in their home in Waxahachie.
The investigation began around 4:15 a.m. on October 1, when the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an «unknown emergency». Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered both boys with multiple gunshot wounds. The younger son was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, while Pietr was pronounced dead at the scene. The younger brother later died in the hospital.
Lemmon, 42, was in the house when law enforcement arrived. According to the sheriff, she was found with non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment before being arrested on preliminary charges. During the investigation, detectives determined there was sufficient probable cause to believe that Lemmon was responsible for the shooting.
Authorities have not disclosed details leading up to the shooting or possible motives for Lemmon. Ellis County Sheriff Brad Norman expressed condolences to the victims' father and their loved ones, noting that they will be in their prayers during this difficult time.
