From the Nashville band Sixwire, who entertained visitors all four days in Milwaukee, to Kid Rock’s performance, warming up the crowd before Donald Trump took the stage with a mashup version of his old songs «American Bad Ass» and «Cowboy».

But Donald Fagen, the sole surviving co-founder of Steely Dan, was not pleased when his song «Reelin' in the Years» was performed by Sixwire as part of their setlist. He posted a message on Facebook suggesting another track: the anti-Trump ballad «Tin Foil Hat».

The song in question is not a Steely Dan song, but a track by Todd Rundgren featuring Fagen — and it is very specifically about Trump.

In a response published on the official Steely Dan website, Donald Fagen suggests the band perform his and Todd Rundgren’s anti-Trump song «Tin Foil Hat».

Kid Rock performed before Trump took the stage on the fourth day.

«He's become my friend over the last ten years and he’s amazing, everyone loves him», - Trump said in his speech at the convention.

Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany Kerr sat next to Trump in the MAGA box for friends and family on the final evening of the RNC on Thursday. Aldean did not perform during the public RNC session, but gave a private concert later in the evening.

Trump called Aldean «the biggest star in country music» in his speech. «He's good», - Trump continued. «I even like his wife more», - the former president said, addressing Aldean’s wife, Brittany Kerr.

Lee Greenwood introduced Trump at the RNC on the first and fourth days and performed on the second day.

Somewhere our «President» is sleeping, because it’s been a long time… During his key speech on Thursday evening, Trump said Greenwood is a «wonderful man». Greenwood, who has been a close ally of Trump for many years, sang three times this week at the RNC, twice to introduce Trump.

Florida native and country singer-songwriter Brian Kelley appeared on Wednesday to perform «American Spirit» with a gospel choir.

Kelley is known for previously being part of the duo Florida Georgia Line, along with Georgia native Tyler Hubbard.

The family of the late Tom Petty condemned the blatant use of the musician’s song «I Won’t Back Down» at Trump’s pre-election rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

In a statement published on X, Tom Petty’s daughters Adria and Annakim, widow Dana, and former wife Jane Petty wrote that they have «issued a cease and desist notice and a demand for Trump’s campaign to stop»
