The creator of the International Dance League, Connor Lim, shared his ambitions regarding the project, which has quickly gained popularity, drawing full houses in arenas and signing a new contract with ESPN 2. In an interview with Derek Hough for the show «Extra», - Lim discussed the concept of the league, which brings together the best dance teams in the world in a format reminiscent of Formula 1.
According to Lim, the league features six professional teams, each representing different cities around the globe. He noted that the teams have already amassed a huge audience, garnering 2 billion views, appearing on 14 different television shows, and winning 22 championships. In particular, the team from Seoul has 26 million subscribers on YouTube.
Speaking about his hopes for the future of the International Dance League, Lim emphasized that his dream is for outstanding dancers, akin to Michael Jordan or Serena Williams, to emerge on the league’s platform. He expressed a desire to see children inspired by these dancers and striving to become competitive dancers thanks to the platform he has created.
