«The Trump rally in Pennsylvania took the life of my brother, Corey Komperatore», - she wrote. «Hatred towards one person took the life of the one we loved the most. He was a hero who shielded his daughters. His wife and girls have just experienced something unimaginable and impossible. My younger brother had just celebrated his 50th birthday and was full of life. Hatred knows no boundaries, but love knows no limits. Pray for my fiancée, nieces, my mother, sister, me, and his nephews and nieces, as this seems like a terrible nightmare, but we know it is our harsh reality».
The former volunteer fire chief was shot and killed by Crooks on July 13, 2024. According to multiple sources, Komperatore was protecting his family members at the event, shielding them from bullets, which led to his death. Authorities reported that Crooks' motive is still unclear, but the bullet grazed Trump’s ear as he was interacting with his supporters at the rally.
