Stars of the reality show «Teen Mom OG», - Cory Wharton and Taylor Selfridge, have announced their breakup after nearly 10 years together. The couple confirmed their split in separate social media posts on Thursday.
Cory noted that this will be a «new chapter» in his life, emphasizing, «It's just me and my girls». In his Instagram post, he wrote, «Taylor and I have decided to go our separate ways, no matter how hard it is to say publicly. I think it’s important to be honest about where I am at this moment». He added that they spent many years together, created countless memories and love, and have two beautiful daughters. Cory apologized to Taylor for «things not working out the way we both hoped» and acknowledged that he could have behaved better.
Cory also emphasized that his daughters are «his whole world» and noted that this stage of life is dedicated to them, as well as to his personal growth. He expressed gratitude to his family and friends for their support during difficult times.
Taylor, in her Instagram Story, stated that she «left» the relationship, adding that she was tired of the lack of basic respect from someone she had been with for nine years and who is the father of her two children. She noted that she deserves more and intends to achieve it.
Cory and Taylor met on the show «Ex on the Beach» in 2017 and are raising daughters Mila (6 years old) and Maya (4 years old). In August, Taylor hinted at problems in the relationship on her Snapchat, stating that she did not want to discuss it online.
