Courtney Kardashian opened up about the emergency fetal operation her son Rocky had during her pregnancy in an episode of «Kardashians» that aired on Thursday, June 20. The 45-year-old reality star talked about why her son with Travis Barker needed an emergency operation before his birth in this episode. She spoke about how unusual the condition was and how lucky she and Travis, 48, were that he had a successful operation.
In the confession of this episode, Courtney recalled her pregnancy and remembered the «awful scare» that the emergency operation caused them. «Baby Rocky had to have a fetal operation because of fluid in his lung», - she said, quoting People. «It's a very rare condition that he had, but also very rare and lucky that we caught it. And thank God for that successful operation. I’m just so grateful, I have no words».
After that, Courtney talked about the power of positive thinking and mentioned the documentary «Heal» as an inspiration for her. She attributed it to helping her ensure that the rest of her pregnancy went smoothly. «I started talking to the baby every day, saying my prayers, and after I changed my thinking, the fluid completely disappeared, and we had no problems after that», - she said.
Courtney experienced a huge scare in September 2023, shortly before Rocky’s birth. This was not the first time the Lemme co-founder opened up about her fears on «Kardashians». She went into more detail about what happened in an episode in May, where she said there was a «hole in the amniotic sac» that required doctors to perform the operation.
Shortly after the procedure, Courtney took to social media to thank her doctors and loved ones for their help and support during the terrifying time. «I am forever grateful to my amazing doctors for saving our baby’s life. I am eternally grateful to my husband, who rushed to me from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand at that moment», - she wrote
