Krispy Kreme and McDonald’s are joining forces to delight sweet tooths

Two of the most popular companies are joining forces to delight all those who love sweets. Krispy Kreme and McDonald’s are collaborating to provide free donuts to customers. In a press release, the president and CEO of Krispy Kreme explained the reason for the company’s decision to partner with McDonald’s.
This is not the first fast-food partnership this year. Recently, Wendy’s, Nickelodeon, and Paramount teamed up to offer the Krabby Patty Kollab until November 3, 2024.
As for the partnership between Krispy Kreme and McDonald’s, customers in only one major city in the US will be able to enjoy free donuts. Find out how to get one below.
According to the press release from Krispy Kreme and McDonald’s, Josh Charlesworth said: «The most popular request we receive from consumers every day is 'please bring Krispy Kreme to my city'. Partnering with McDonald’s on a national level will provide our fans and donut lovers with unparalleled daily access to fresh donuts and the joy that Krispy Kreme brings».
Three types of Krispy Kreme donuts will be available at selected McDonald’s restaurants: glazed, chocolate with sprinkles, and chocolate filled.
Until October 14, customers in Chicago can get a free Krispy Kreme donut at selected McDonald’s restaurants. According to the dessert chain’s press release, Krispy Kreme will give fans «a free original glazed donut, limit one per guest, to anyone who shows a paper or digital McDonald’s receipt dated from October 10 to 14 at participating Krispy Kreme stores nationwide from October 10 to 14».
Both chains plan to expand this special offer to 1,000 McDonald’s restaurants by the end of the year. The ultimate goal is to offer Krispy Kreme donuts in 12,000 McDonald’s restaurants by 2026
