Kristin Davis shared her impressions of working with costume designer Patricia Field on the set of «Sex and the City». In an episode of her podcast «Are You a Charlotte?» from October 15, she revealed that at the beginning of their collaboration, Field did not approve of her figure.
According to Davis, Field «just didn’t like her body». The actress, who played Charlotte York in the series, noted that the designer was not shy about expressing her thoughts. Davis recalled that in early 1998, when filming began, she tried to meet the standards that were accepted in fashion and followed a strict diet, which negatively affected her health.
Davis also mentioned that over time their relationship improved, especially when her character found love with Harry. She recalled how much she liked the wedding dress she wore in the finale and admitted that Field eventually accepted her figure.
