Criticism of airlines: why are there so many disasters in 2025?

Commercial airlines are facing criticism now, as several disasters and incidents have occurred in the first two months of 2025. An American Airlines plane and a Black Hawk helicopter collided in the air near Washington, and then a Delta Air Lines flight made an emergency landing in Toronto just a few weeks later. Naturally, frequent travelers are questioning whether flying is still safe, let alone why so many aviation disasters continue to happen.
The number of aviation disasters that have occurred so far in 2025 is listed below.

Brickhouse also noted that «it is important for passengers to be persistent and demand that the government and various organizations do everything possible to ensure maximum safety in air travel».
