Love doesn’t last forever, especially on Love Island USA. Despite the name, the island participants face a lot of drama every night as new singles arrive at the doorstep and some participants are eliminated. But as couples form and sparks fly, sometimes a broken heart can occur. So who was recently kicked out of the villa?
Below is a recap of who remains in the seventh season of Love Island USA and who was eliminated from the island.
All new episodes of Love Island USA air on Peacock at 9:00 pm Eastern Time / 6:00 pm Pacific Time six days a week, except Wednesdays.
The last couple to be eliminated from the island were Hannah and Jeremiah in episode 18. Hannah was introduced as a bombshell in the villa, and she found it difficult to compete with her fellow islanders when they voted for her to leave the island.
«I feel like I can never catch a break», - Hannah said in her final interview. «As soon as I get something good, it’s taken away from me».
At the beginning of the seventh season, one participant was sent home quite quickly: Yulissa Escobar. After videos of her racist comments on a podcast went viral, she disappeared from the villa. She addressed her departure in a lengthy Instagram post, which, in part, stated: «First and foremost, I want to apologize for using a word that does not belong to me. Videos from podcasts made many years ago recently resurfaced, and I want to address this directly. In these videos, I used a word that I should never have used, a racist slur. I used it in ignorance, not fully understanding its weight, history, or pain behind it. I was not trying to be offensive or hurtful, but now I understand that intention does not justify consequences. And the consequences of this word are real. It is associated with generations of trauma, and it is not my word to use».
