Who will ask questions to Harris and Trump? Moderators of the 2024 debates

From 2024, the presidential debates have become the focus of attention for many who are behind the questions pushing Kamala Harris and Donald Trump to face off live on topics such as immigration, crime, abortion, and the economy.
ABC has chosen two journalists as moderators for the event, providing each presidential candidate with two minutes to speak. Here’s a closer look at them:
David Muir and Lindsey Davis — journalists moderating the debates, guiding 59-year-old Harris and 78-year-old Trump as they answer questions on issues concerning the nation.
Muir, 50, a journalist from New York and host of ABC World News Tonight and ABC News 20/20. Outside of his career, he has no children except for a dog, and does not seem to be in a relationship.
A television host from Syracuse, New York, he has been working at ABC since 2003. Reflecting on his long career at the news network, Muir turned to Instagram a week before the presidential debates to look back on his work.
«Ten years ago I started hosting World News Tonight», - he captioned a photo of himself as a child next to his father, Ronald Muir. «I am so grateful to this team and the viewers. I’ve been at this for a while — my dad and I, 1987 — our on-screen chemistry was off the charts».
Muir has previously interviewed several politicians, including Donald Trump in 2017. It was the first interview with a Republican candidate during his presidency.
Davis, 46, an ABC News journalist and co-host of World News Tonight, as well as ABC News Live Prime with Lindsey Davis. Outside of her professional life, she is married to Paul Robertson, with whom she has a son, Aiden, born in 2014.
During her time at ABC News, Davis has interviewed various public figures. Among the most notable politicians she has spoken to was US Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg. In the entertainment industry, Davis interviewed «The Bachelorette» contestant Jenn Tran during her season on the reality show
