Quincy Jones enjoyed a successful career as a high-class music and film producer, working in the industry for over 60 years. Born in Chicago in 1933, the late multi-talented artist climbed the ranks of the music industry after dropping out of Berklee College of Music in Boston and starting his tour. By 1964, he was appointed vice president of Mercury Records, making him the first black man to hold such a position in a white-owned company, according to the American Academy of Achievement. To this day, he has 28 Grammy awards, one Emmy, and seven Oscar nominations. Additionally, he worked with some of the most famous names of all time, such as Michael Jackson and Frank Sinatra.

Quincy also enjoyed a tumultuous personal life. He was married three times and had seven children from five women. So who were the women who once held the key to the heart of the music industry icon? Read on to learn about Quincy Jones' three previous wives.

Actress Jeri Caldwell and Quincy Jones were married from 1957 to 1966 and welcomed one child together, a daughter named Jolie. Jeri has one acting credit for her role in the 1994 film «Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult». Little is known about their relationship because it was over 50 years ago, but Quincy once shared how they met in high school during an interview with Oprah Winfrey.

«Jeri approached me first. I was a bit of a scoundrel, and Jeri and her sister were the most beautiful girls in school», - he recalled. «I noticed she would stop by the fountain every day — a real macho crew notices patterns very well. My daughters later taught me that guys think their rap is so strong that women can’t resist — but it’s not about that: a girl notices a guy a year before he realizes she’s there!»

Quincy was 19 when he married Jeri, but he admitted she wasn’t his first true love — just the first love he married.

Quincy married Swedish model and actress Ulla Andersson a year after divorcing Jeri. They welcomed a daughter, Martina, and a son, Quincy III, during their marriage. Unfortunately, their marriage ended after a few years and was officially dissolved in 1974, so Quincy could marry his third wife, Peggy Lipton.

In addition to a successful modeling career in magazines, Ulla tried her hand at acting and even music. Her debut album, «No Time No Space No Age No Race That’s Nifty!» was released in 1979. In 2007, she released an autobiography titled «Red Carpet Blues».

Peggy Lipton, an American actress, model, and singer known for her roles in «The Mod Squad» and «Twin Peaks», - was Quincy’s longest marriage, as they married in 1974 and divorced in 1989. By the time of their wedding, they already had a daughter, Kidada. Quincy’s most famous daughter is his second daughter, whom he welcomed with Peggy in 1976: actress Rashida Jones.

Although Quincy spoke little about their union, he only had praise for Peggy when she passed away in May 2019. «There are no words to express the sadness I feel after losing my beloved Peggy Lipton… My wife of 14 years», - he wrote on Instagram alongside a slideshow of old photos with her.

«We shared many, many beautiful memories, and most importantly, we have two incredible daughters… Pail (@kidadajonesog) and Dunk (@rashidajones)», - he continued. «Despite the paths we chose in life, I can say with the utmost confidence that love is eternal. Thank you all for the love and support you have shown me and my family».

Quincy was not married at the time of his death, but his love life became a topic of discussion. In 2018, he revealed that he had 22 girlfriends during an interview with GQ. He then listed where they were all from. «Everywhere. Cape Town. Cairo. Stockholm — she’s coming next week. Brazil — Belo Horizonte, Sao Paulo, and Rio. Shanghai — I have a great girl there»
