Lala Kent is now the mother of two girls!
The «Vanderpump Rules» star, at the age of 33, welcomed her second child on Tuesday, September 3, announcing it on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, September 4.
«Welcome to the world, my love», - Kent wrote above a post of a black screen, adding the date «9.3.24» in the bottom right corner, as well as audio of adults admiring her newborn baby.
The reality show star has not yet revealed her daughter’s name. However, in an episode of her podcast «Give Them Lala», - released on the same day she announced her daughter’s birth, she mentioned that she will not reveal the name of her daughter for a very specific reason.
«Today is Beyoncé's birthday, it’s her day», - she explained. «I have to make sure we can’t announce today… No one will care. Today is Beyoncé's birthday».
«I'll wait», - Lala continued, but she shared that the name will start with the letter S. «Baby S deserves her moment».
Kent, already the mother of two-year-old daughter Ocean, whom she shares with ex Randall Emmett, announced her pregnancy in March, writing on Instagram: «I'm expanding my family».
The announcement came just a month after she revealed her plans to use intrauterine insemination (IUI) and a sperm donor.
«This is a path I never thought I would go down», - Kent told Cosmopolitan in January. «I really saw myself in a traditional relationship and starting a family, but now, when the universe has other plans for me, I am so grateful that this was an option».
Kent, who split from Emmett in October 2021, said she hopes to inspire other women in similar situations by sharing her experience.
«I felt the need to start talking about this because there are women out there who are sitting and waiting for a man to come into their lives and just craving children, even though there is another way to get pregnant. If you want children and are just waiting for 'that person' to come into your life, let’s talk about another path we can take».
In April, Kent announced that she was expecting another daughter. «With this baby, I felt all kinds of energies», - she said during Amazon Live. «I thought it would be nice to have male energy in the house. But I love time with the girls… We have a house full of girls right now».
She then exclaimed, «This is my second child. I’m doing this on my own. I am so excited to expand my family»
