Lance Bass revealed financial details about his involvement with the group *NSYNC, stating that his earnings were significantly lower than expected. During an appearance on Zach Sang’s show on October 8, he shared that the group members received only $ 35 a day as per diem, and the first check amounted to $ 10,000 after several years of a successful career.
*NSYNC was formed in 1995, and Bass performed alongside JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Justin Timberlake. Although the group achieved massive success, Bass noted that the members did not receive substantial income from their earnings. He emphasized that, despite having residuals, they are minimal, and many people mistakenly believe he became wealthy through *NSYNC.
Bass also mentioned that the financial situation was more favorable for the record label and its manager Lou Pearlman, who, according to him, was one of the most notorious con artists. He expressed regret that there was no proper protection for the group members at the beginning of their careers and noted that they had to navigate financial issues on their own after the conclusion of their time with *NSYNC.
