Lady Gaga wants her fans to know that she is happy — thanks to finding her «lost half», fiancé Michael Polanski.

In a new interview published on Thursday, September 5, the star of «Joker: The Fool and the De» — whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta — reflected on her relationship with the tech entrepreneur just over a month after confirming their engagement in July.

«I've never met anyone like Michael», - said Gaga, 38, about Polanski, 46, in her cover story for Vogue’s October issue. «He's so smart and so kind».

«His life and my life are very different», - continued the actress and singer. «He's a very private person, and he’s with me for no other reason than we love each other. But I want my fans to know that I’m just so happy».

Gaga shared that her mental health has greatly improved since the release of her latest album «Chromatica» in 2020, thanks to Polanski’s presence.

«The missing piece in my life was real love», - she said, describing how she was in a «very dark place».

«But everything started to change. Because I had a real friend who saw why I was unhappy and why. And he wasn’t afraid to really hold my hand. And get to know me. On a very deep level».

Gaga, who first became linked to Polanski around New Year’s Eve 2019 and later officially announced their relationship in early 2020 on Instagram, revealed that it was her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, who first crossed paths with the businessman due to a «philanthropic overlap» and told her, «I think I just met your husband».

The Grammy winner recalled thinking, «I'm not ready to meet my husband!»

In December 2019, Gaga and her future husband met face to face for the first time when they both attended Napster founder Sean Parker’s 40th birthday in Los Angeles.

During the interview, Polanski shared his first impression of Gaga, saying, «I was immediately struck by her warmth and openness — she was so genuinely curious about how I grew up in Minnesota».

The couple’s relationship quickly blossomed, and when the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020, they quarantined at the Oscar nominee’s estate in Malibu.

«It was really special», - said Gaga. «I've been so focused on my career since I was a teenager. And the gift of this time was that I could fully focus on my relationship. I met this completely supportive, loving person who wanted to know me — beyond Lady Gaga».

Polanski agreed, adding, «We had this amazing chapter of a strange kind of normalcy that is necessary for any real relationship to flourish — walks, making coffee, time with the dogs, reading books together».

Gaga revealed that Polanski proposed in April after a day of rock climbing.

«I somehow thought I was going to have to do all this alone — forever. And it was really scary. Because it’s a big life. And I don’t think anyone really knows what that feels like until they’re in it», - she said. «And I don’t have to do it alone anymore»
