The 39-year-old singer and actress admits that she has been «very, very debauched and experimental», - adding that she has «had sex with female prostitutes». Therefore, she «tries quite hard to normalize everything that people are ashamed of in themselves».
But then she stepped back and shared a bit about her relationship with her 49-year-old American actor husband. «I wonder if I criticize my husband for his kink. Because he often asks for something, and I say, 'No, darling, that’s not going to happen'».
Allen clarifies that she doesn’t just refuse him. «I don’t say, 'You scoundrel, how dare you ask me for this!' - she joked. — I just say, 'Hmm, headache. A little headache, maybe not today.' She also notes that ultimately her sobriety is probably a factor in why she is no longer as debauched as before.
«I think alcohol had a lot to do with my kink», - she shared. «Before I met David, I don’t think I ever had sex sober».
«There were many times when I did things I really didn’t want to do», - she recalled. «But I try to please people, and I have a deep fear of abandonment. So I felt that if I didn’t play by their rules, they would leave me and reject me».
For the singer, who has been sober for five years, she attributes her sobriety to helping her change many aspects of her life for the better. She and her ex-husband, Sam Cooper, finalized their divorce in 2018 and are raising two children: Ethel and Marnie. In April, she told Glamour UK: «I don’t think I would have been married to my husband [Harbor]… I don’t think my kids would be as successful as they are now. I don’t think I would have started acting and enjoyed it so much».
