Lynn Holmes, a new face on the music scene in Los Angeles that everyone is talking about, released her first EP as a solo artist titled «Introducing Lynn Holmes» on July 12.
The Swedish singer moved to Los Angeles in 2018 to study and was greatly inspired by the music playing in the city — especially Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks (from 1975 onwards). Lynn regularly performed in the City of Angels at the famous Whisky A Go Go club, which hosted major rock bands such as The Doors, Janis Joplin, and Led Zeppelin.
«Introducing Lynn Holmes» is a light rock EP containing 4 songs written by Holmes and Rev. Tom Chandler. Like the 70s icons that inspired the songs, the EP has a very organic sound and features the talents of Daniel Yakubovich, Derek Frank, Adam Perry, Andre Benjamin Maldonado, Tom Chandler, Alexey Shant Egikyan, and Jenny Dang.
The singer’s latest single «Baby Blue» was released on May 31 and is a light, joyful pop song that recalls the bright sounds of the 70s while maintaining a modern, lively pace. Produced by Rev. Tom Chandler, the track features a rich combination of instruments played by Daniel Yakubovich — including drums, guitar, piano, and bass — along with electronic production elements created by Jenny Dang.
Starting her solo career this year, Holmes made a bright debut with the single «Cut Me», - released on April 5, which immediately garnered 14,000 listens. This emotionally rich track highlights her talent for combining heartfelt lyrics with captivating melodies, exploring themes of vulnerability and resilience.
