Eight-time PDRA world street racing champion and renowned engine builder Pat Musi published a Facebook post on June 27 announcing the passing of his daughter, Lizzy.

«Surrounded by her family, in the comfort of her home, Lizzy was called to heaven at 11:25 tonight», - he wrote on June 27. «Thank you for all the prayers and support during her battle. At this time, the family would like to have time to process, grieve, and organize funeral arrangements in peace. We will provide updates as we have information to share».

Lizzy Musi gained national recognition through her participation in the show Street Laws: No Prep Kings. This Discovery Channel show was a spin-off of the Street Outlaws street racing series in 2018. She became the first female racer to win an event on the show, driving a nitrous-boosted 2012 Chevrolet Camaro named The Aftershock.

Musi first shared her difficult diagnosis in April 2023, signing a post on Instagram: «Hello everyone, I haven’t had the opportunity to write much due to an unexpected change in life. A few days ago, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Triple-Negative Breast Cancer that has spread to lymph nodes and liver… I have a tough road ahead. I am grateful for all the messages and calls».

Despite battling cancer, Musi won the invitation-only tournament «Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings» in 2023 at the Tulsa track in Oklahoma. Later, she told Drag Illustrated magazine in August: «I swear, I have never been so happy in my life. I just feel like I can do my job as a racer, and it comes so naturally. It felt so good to be myself again and race».

She added: «Many doubted me. I am very grateful and blessed to be able to continue doing what I do».

After news of her cancer diagnosis, Lizzy constantly updated fans through social media. In June 2023, she showed her «new self» after shaving her head.

Lizzy Musi was recognized not only as a racer. Ultimately, she created her own legacy as a fearless competitor both on and off the track. She was a beloved figure in the street racing community
