Lonnie Anderson: four marriages and life behind the scenes of success Lonnie Anderson: four marriages and life behind the scenes of success
Loni Anderson is perhaps best remembered for her role as glamorous and witty Jennifer Marlowe on the show WKRP in Cincinnati, but her personal life also often attracted a lot of attention. Over the years, the Emmy-nominated actress was married four times, and each marriage left its mark on her life.

Although some relationships were tumultuous and widely covered in the press, others were quiet and long-lasting. After her passing at the age of 79, interest in her love life increased. Learn more about her ex-husbands and marriages below.

Anderson married real estate developer Bruce Hasselberg in 1964, shortly after finishing school. The couple had one daughter, Deidra, but the marriage ended in divorce just two years later.

In 1974, Anderson entered into her second marriage with actor Ross Bickell. They moved from Minnesota to Los Angeles in search of opportunities in show business. Although this marriage was less public than her subsequent relationships, the union lasted almost ten years before the couple quietly divorced in 1981.

Anderson’s third marriage, in 1988, was with one of the brightest stars of Hollywood at the time — a union that quickly became tabloid fodder. At their wedding, she famously remarked, «I feel like Cinderella. I married Prince Charming». Their marriage included the adoption of a son, Quinton, but it fell apart due to allegations of emotional and physical abuse. Her ex later openly described their marriage as «a very stupid decision on my part», - while Anderson claimed he raped her in a 1995 interview with SFGate and did not consistently pay child support.

After many years in the spotlight, Anderson found peace in her fourth marriage to folk musician Bob Flick, founder of The Brothers Four. They had known each other since the 1960s, but only married in 2008 in an intimate ceremony. She described the relationship as stable and enduring, and they remained together until her passing in 2025. Through this marriage, she also became a stepmother to Bob’s son, Adam Flick
