Madonna faced a lawsuit from a concertgoer for allegedly «forcing» fans to wait for her in dangerously hot weather and for showing «pornography without warning» on stage. According to multiple sources, the 65-year-old singer of the hit «Like a Virgin» was sued by concertgoer Justin Lipeles.
Lipeles filed documents in court on Wednesday, May 29, in Los Angeles. The lawsuit claims that Madonna lip-synced at one of her shows at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles as part of her Celebration tour, which ended earlier this month. Lipeles also claimed that all concertgoers were in a «hot and uncomfortable temperature» after Madonna allegedly took the stage at 10:00 pm instead of the advertised start time of 8:30 pm.
«Forcing consumers to wait for hours in hot, uncomfortable arenas and subjecting them to pornography without warning is a manifestation of Madonna’s indifference to her fans», - the court documents state, according to multiple sources. «Defendants did not provide Lipeles with any notice that the concert would start later».
Lipeles' lawsuit also accused the pop star of showing «naked women on stage, simulating sexual acts».
«The temperature inside the Kia Forum was unbearably hot, as Madonna demanded, who refused to turn on the air conditioning», - the court documents state. Lipeles allegedly «sweated profusely and felt physically unwell due to the heat», - the lawsuit claims. «When fans complained about the heat, Madonna unreasonably ordered them to undress».
In addition to Madonna, Lipeles also filed a lawsuit against Live Nation and concert venues in California — Forum Entertainment, Golden 1 Center, Kia Forum, and Acrisure Arena.
Lipeles Law Group also reported that Lipeles brought his 11-year-old younger sister to the concert, according to a statement received from Entertainment Tonight.
Noting that the «women on stage» took off their tops and performed «pornographic scenes», - Lipeles Law Group claimed, «This happened absolutely without warning for those who are offended by such content», - in their statement to the publication.
This is not the first time Madonna has faced legal issues due to her concerts. Recently, she has been sued several times for starting her Celebration tour shows later than advertised to fans.
Singer «Borderline» and Live Nation have not yet publicly responded to the lawsuit at the time of publication
