According to Las Vegas Raiders star Max Crosby, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes can be quite vocal on the field when things aren’t going his way. Crosby, 29, responded to a question about whether Mahomes makes sounds when he gets knocked down during the October 6 episode of the podcast «The Rush with Maxx Crosby», - saying, «Maybe».
Crosby, who mentioned the Chiefs' game against the Raiders on October 4, in which his team lost 30−27, noted that he had three sacks and five hits on Mahomes. He said, «Every time I hit him, he rolls over and just looks at me. It’s always my face, and I’m just looking at him. But it’s respect, brother. He’s the best quarterback of our generation».
Crosby also recalled that he had «a couple of hard hits» on Mahomes and added that sometimes he wasn’t sure if the quarterback had released the ball. «You don’t know, you’re moving so fast», - he noted.
Despite the loss, the Raiders started the season with an unexpected 3−1 record after winning only three games last season. Meanwhile, the Chiefs continue their perfect season start at 4−0, thanks to Mahomes' return from a leg injury sustained in December 2025. The teams will meet again on January 10 in Kansas City to conclude the regular season.
