Taylor Swift’s mom, Andrea Swift, will always support her daughter! During the 34-year-old pop star’s performance on the Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium last week, Andrea’s reaction to Taylor’s song «thank you aIMee» was captured on camera. And, as all Swifties know, this song is widely considered a diss track against Kim Kardashian.
As shown in a new video on social media, 66-year-old Andrea happily waved her hands after Taylor sang the line: «Everyone knows my mom is a saintly woman, but she once said she wanted you dead».
The clip also captured the VIP guest pavilion at the London show that took place on June 22nd. Celebrities like Sophie Turner and Gracie Abrams were there, as well as Taylor’s boyfriend, Travis Kelsey, and his brother, Jason Kelsey.
Although Taylor has never confirmed or denied it, «thank you aIMee» is presumably a reference to her past feud with Kim, 43. They clashed in the public eye for many years, mainly due to tension between Kim’s ex-husband, Kanye «Ye» West, and the hit singer. One of the lines mentions a «tanned statue» of a hooligan, which Swifties believe is a description of Kardashian.
Additionally, Taylor acknowledges in the song that she changed the track’s name «and any real identifying features» about who she’s singing about.
«I don’t think you’ve changed much / And so I changed your name and any real identifying features», - she sings in one verse. «And one day your child comes home, singing a song that only we two know, about you, because».
Last year, the Grammy winner recalled her messaging feud with Kim and the infamous recorded phone call with West in her TIME magazine cover story in December 2023.
«You have a completely fabricated case, in an illegally recorded phone call that Kim Kardashian edited and then published to tell everyone that I’m a liar», - Taylor told the publication, revealing how it affected her. «It psychologically threw me into a state I had never been in before. I moved to a foreign country. I didn’t leave the rented house for a year. I was scared to answer the phone. I pushed most people in my life away because I didn’t trust anyone anymore.
