Young Thug’s girlfriend, Maria Uchenaya, is thrilled now that the rapper will become a free man after more than two years in prison.
In a text message to WSBTV journalist Michael Siden, 27-year-old Maria expressed her gratitude, saying: «Thank you, God, thank you, God. This is more than we prayed for. We are so grateful, this is the biggest opportunity that has ever presented itself to us, and we are so grateful. Thank you Judge Paige Whitaker for the opportunity to move forward in our lives! Maria is an R&B singer discovered by Canadian rapper Tory Lanez. She signed a contract with his label One Umbrella, as well as with RCA Records, to release her debut studio album «Master» (2019), followed by its sequel «Ry Ry World» (2021).

Internet personality Cleopatra Deus claimed that Maria attacked her without any provocation, as detailed in a Fulton County police report obtained by TMZ. According to Deus, while she was at the Cavo Kitchen and Cocktail restaurant and bar in Atlanta, Maria, in her words, grabbed her and removed her wig without explanation.
Young Thug, father of six children — three sons and three daughters — from four different women. When asked about what it’s like to date someone with children during an appearance on The Baller Alert Show last year, Maria admitted that she «intended to date him» when they first met.
