Former Australian footballer Mark Hutchings announced the death of his partner Hannah, who passed away just two days after the birth of their daughter Sofia. He shared this news on Instagram on September 24, expressing deep sorrow over the loss.
Hutchings noted that Hannah had dreamed of becoming a mother, and this news was extremely difficult for him. He thanked everyone for their support and added that he and Sofia would miss Hannah very much. The couple, according to 7News, had been together since 2022, and Hannah frequently appeared on Hutchings' social media pages since 2023. They were passionate travelers and shared photos from Italy, Vietnam, France, and other countries.
The cause of Hannah’s death has not yet been disclosed; however, The West Australian reports that an investigation is currently underway. Hannah’s sister, Lucy, mentioned that it could take a year before it becomes clear what exactly happened. It was also reported that on September 9, Hannah suffered a heart attack in the hospital.
Mark Hutchings was drafted by the St. Kilda Football Club in the Australian Football League in 2009 but did not play a match for the team. In 2012, he was drafted by the West Coast Eagles and spent nine seasons with the team, scoring 46 goals in 120 games. He was also part of the team that won the championship in 2018.
