How wide were the protests? Find out how many people in the USA took to the streets to express their opinion below.

The phrase «No Kings» has become a slogan against what many Americans see as authoritarian tendencies under President Trump and his administration. It gained particular relevance after Trump called himself a «king» in a post on Truth Social, writing «Long live the king!» while boasting about canceling a congestion tariff in New York in February 2025.

This statement resonated even more strongly on June 14, 2025, which was not only Trump’s 79th birthday, but also the date of a military parade in Washington, attended by the president. Critics saw this event as a glorified, monarch-like spectacle, heightening their concerns about the growing executive power.

The «No Kings» movement was massive — coordinated protests took place in approximately 2,000 cities and towns across all 50 states.

Estimates vary by source, but it is clear that millions participated across the country on June 14, 2025. According to The Guardian, over 2 million protesters gathered in more than 2,000 locations, including over 200,000 in New York and over 100,000 in Philadelphia, with large rallies also in Los Angeles. Other sources, including the Daily Beast and Financial Times, increased this number, estimating from 4 to 6 million nationwide, with reports of 50,000 in New York, 80,000 in Philadelphia, and 200,000 in Los Angeles.

Although exact numbers vary, all sources agree that this was one of the largest protest days in US history
