Matthew McConaughey: the actor was stung by a bee, but did not lose his optimism

Matthew McConaughey seems to have fallen victim to a bee sting, not «The Firestarter». However, the photo he showed to fans initially made them feel that something was not right with him.
The controversial image was posted on Instagram on Wednesday and was simply a close-up of his face, with his right eye noticeably bruised and swollen shut. Despite this, he still had a smile on his face, and the caption of the photo was: «bee sting».
Although it is unclear where this happened, the star of «Dazed and Confused» is known to live in his home state of Texas, where he and his wife, Camila Alves, are raising their three children: Levi, Vida, and Livingston.
McConaughey left their «happy life» in Malibu, California in 2014. They recall that the decision came naturally to them after spending several weeks in Austin during a family crisis.
«Time slowed down», - said the 54-year-old to Southern Living. «The clocks were right, biologically. And part of that is ritual, part of it is just the distance between places and the way people move. But it’s also hospitality, courtesy, common sense, lack of drama».
In June, McConaughey admitted during a conversation with fellow Texan Glenn Powell, 35, for Interview magazine, that he once took a two-year break from Hollywood. He felt it was difficult for him to get roles in movies outside of the romantic comedy genre, where he starred in classics of the early 2000s, such as «How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days» in 2003.
«Dude, it was scary. I talked to my wife for a long time about needing to find a new calling», - he shared about the break, recalling that at different times he told his wife that he was considering teaching at a high school, studying music, or working as a «wilderness guide».
So, the «Interstellar» actor is now in a place where he feels most comfortable, even with a bee sting.
Even in 2020, the actor posted a video, trying to support the people of Texas during the Covid-19 quarantine, reflecting the feelings that McConaughey seems to be living with.
