Maura Higgins shared her excitement about the collaborative costume design for the show «Dancing with the Stars», - in which she participates alongside professional dancer Mark Ballas in its 25th season. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, she noted that the process of creating the costumes has been very engaging and collaborative for her.
According to Maura, she first discusses her ideas with the costume team, after which they create sketches. «Then, a few days later, my idea is ready for a fitting», - she said, adding that she looks forward to working with the costume department. Higgins emphasized that this is truly a fun part of the entire process and helps her get in the right mindset for show day.
Maura also recalled her experience on the show «The Traitors», - where the vibrant outfits were a reason for her participation. She noted that well-chosen clothing helps her feel more confident. In that show, she wore extravagant hats, corsets, and long skirts.
Additionally, Maura talked about her desire to «borrow» outfits from Lisa Rinna, whom she met during the filming of «The Traitors». She expressed admiration for Rinna’s style and mentioned that many fans stop her on the street to discuss the show’s finale.
«I was so nervous that people would think I was silly, but it became a viral moment, and I got a free Birkin, so I think I won», - she added. «Dancing with the Stars» airs on ABC and Disney+ on Tuesdays at 8 PM Eastern Time.
