Maurizio Umansky, star of the reality show «Stars on Mars», - commented on the nickname «Grandpa» that was given to him after his sudden exit from the show. In an interview with Us, he noted that he is not upset with the production team, who referred to him as «Grandpa» throughout his time on the show.
Umansky, who is 56 years old, also shared that he will soon become an «unofficial grandpa», - as his stepdaughter Farra Brittany Aljufri is expecting her first child. He mentioned that despite his age, he is in good physical shape and ready to tackle any challenges.
During the episode that aired on October 15, Umansky left the show before a challenge involving tear gas. He explained that although he was visibly injured and could not safely participate in the task, his decision to leave was based on concerns about potential health consequences. Umansky recounted a previous challenge where he sustained a severe blow and injured his rib.
He expressed regret for not being able to stay on the show longer, noting that four days were not enough for him. Currently, his daughter Alexia continues to participate in the project. The show «Stars on Mars» airs on Fox on Thursdays at 9 PM Eastern Time.
