Mike Tyson: family has become his main priority, despite the fight with Jake Paul

Mike Tyson may be focused on his fight against Jake Paul, but his priority is his family. In 2023, the boxing champion was spotted on the red carpet at the ESPY Awards ceremony in the company of his daughter Milan. She jokingly told ET at the time that she was impressed by all the famous athletes present at the event, but not so much by her own father. «She seems to think that many other people are cooler than me», - he joked.

Mike also admitted that Milan and his five other children — his daughter Exodus died in 2009 at the age of 4 — have somewhat calmed him down, as his past was marked by accusations of assault and imprisonment. «It's time. I have a daughter. I can’t be the way I used to be, you know?» he shared. «Things have to change».

These changes certainly included Mike paying more attention to his role as a family man. He has been married to Lakiha Spicer since 2009, and they have Milan and son Morocco. Mike was previously married to Robin Givens from 1988 to 1989, and shortly after their breakup, he welcomed a daughter named Mikey with his girlfriend Kimberly Scarborough. He then was married from 1997 to 2003 to Monica Turner, with whom he welcomed son Amir and daughter Rayna. After their split, Mike began dating Sol Xochitl. They had two children, a son named Miguel and a daughter named Exodus.

Mikey Lorna Tyson — Mike’s eldest daughter, was born to Kimberly in 1992. Although Mike and Kimberly never married, he remained close with his eldest daughter and often posts about her on his Instagram. While Mikey seems to keep a low profile on Instagram, reports say she is a plus-size model who was featured on the cover of Queen magazine’s November issue in 2016.

Mike met Monica by chance at a party hosted by Eddie Murphy in 1990 at the comedian’s New Jersey home. They instantly connected, and they stayed in touch over the following years. The relationship eventually turned romantic, and they married in a private Muslim ceremony in April 1997, almost a year after welcoming Rayna on February 14, 1996.

In recent years, Rayna has chosen the name Ramsey for themselves after identifying as non-binary. «I'm a non-binary person who socially transitioned among my friends and began medical transition», - Ramsey said in November 2020. They added that they and Mike are not «very close» and that they did not expect him to be «perfect with pronouns».

According to their IMDb profile, Ramsey has two major films to their credit: 2019's «Joker» with Joaquin Phoenix and 2017's «Death and Life of Marsha P. Johnson».

Ramsey’s younger brother Amir was born in 1999. He has a degree in radio journalism from American University in Washington, according to Heavy. He has created his own streetwear brand called Debonair Attire. It appears that he posts a lot on his Instagram.

Mike had two children with Sol, his girlfriend in the early 2000s. Miguel is now 18 years old, and reportedly a musician actively involved in charity work. He currently does not seem to have a social media account.

Miguel’s sister Exodus was born to Mike and Sol in 2005. The little girl died in the hospital in May 2009 after her neck became entangled in a treadmill cord at their home in Phoenix, ESPN reports. Miguel found Exodus and told their mother Sol, who called 9−1-1.

Mike shares Milan and son Morocco with Lakiha, who goes by «Kiki». When asked about Milan’s growing tennis career in 2020, Mike told reporters, «I always explain to (Milan), 'If you really want to do this, you talk about [Novak] Djokovic, Serena Williams, that’s what you need to do. You can’t complain. You have to love it. That’s what discipline is. You hate it.'»
