Michael Douglas discusses romances in memoirs and reconnects with exes

Michael Douglas has been cautious in describing his romantic relationships in his new autobiography «One Helluva Ride». According to his co-author Shane Salerno, Douglas reached out to former partners Kathleen Turner and Jeanne Tripplehorn in advance to obtain their permission to mention their relationships.
In his book, Douglas publicly shared for the first time about his affair with Turner, which developed during the filming of «Romancing the Stone» in 1984. He noted that there was a strong chemistry between them, and many viewers long believed they were in a relationship. Douglas also admitted that during the process of making the film, they truly fell in love with each other.
Kathleen Turner commented on this in an interview, stating that she does not understand why there is such a fuss about their relationship 40 years later. She expressed her love for Douglas and said she is looking forward to the release of the book.

He confessed that he was ready to leave his wife for Tripplehorn but ultimately decided against ending his marriage.
