Michael Cera debuted a new hairstyle that really brought some «Kennergy» to the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival in New York on Saturday, June 8th.

The 36-year-old actor was photographed on the red carpet of the premiere of the film «Sacramento» wearing a cream sweater, blue pants, high-heeled shoes, and completed with red sunglasses.

Originally a brunette, the actor recently picked up on Barbie’s inner vibes at recent events, especially during last year’s film premiere, where he matched Ryan Gosling in a pink suit.

Michael, who played the role of Allan, the discontinued Mattel doll in the film, enjoyed being part of the pink world. He recalled his audition story in an interview with GQ last year, saying: «It was a pretty sudden casting… My manager got a call checking my availability for it, and he called me and said, 'I got a call about this movie. It’s a Barbie movie. Greta Gerwig is directing it, and it’s shooting in London for four months or something, so I told them you probably wouldn’t want to do it because you probably wouldn’t want to go to London… I was like, 'What! Call them back!' He didn’t ruin anything, but he said, 'I managed their expectations that you probably wouldn’t want to do it.' I was like, 'How could I not do this? I have to do this!'»

He added: «Somehow I got Greta’s email address, I think through a mutual friend, and I wrote to her: 'Can I be in this? Can I play this role?'… And she said, 'Let's get on the phone right now. Here’s a Zoom link, I’ll be there within the next hour.' So she was just hanging on Zoom like, 'Click the link when you’re ready.' And then we discussed it, and it all happened very quickly from there».

Since then, he has charmed audiences with his funny character of the «sad man». «He [Allan] is just a man who doesn’t have his place in the world… It just didn’t sell. The world just didn’t need Ken to have a friend… Barbie is good, we can bring in a lot more Barbies here, and her friends. But we have Ken, and we don’t need to move in that direction. So Allan kind of got left on the sidelines», - he told the magazine
