Michael Willis Herd was a well-known figure on social media and a content creator, most famous for introducing the «Yes King» meme to TikTok users. Unfortunately, Herd passed away at the end of 2025, as announced by his family and other close members in November.
«My dad. I will miss you so much, king, this is crazy for me and you really destroyed the family with this [sic]», - wrote Herd’s daughter, known as Mikael Crumbie, on Facebook. «I don’t care who didn’t love my dad and didn’t like his lifestyle and WISHED HIM DEATH! HE WAS THE GREATEST MAN WHO LIVED ON THIS EARTH! The love and compassion he felt were unmatched».
Herd’s daughter added that her late father «came to everyone with LOVE and touched so many lives [sic]!», calling herself «a blessed girl, so blessed to have him as MY DAD!»
«It's so hard for us as a family, but this too shall pass, and we will become stronger», - she added. «I just know my dad is in glory and rejoicing. I love you, dad, I will see you again, don’t worry about me [sic]».

Some of you may know him as a content creator of various kinds, he was a life coach, as well as a pastor», - Augustus wrote alongside a gallery of photos of Herd, including one of him that appeared to be taken in the hospital. «I knew him for many years and learned this morning that he died from an asthma attack, which led to a heart attack, which led to him being in a coma. As shocked as I was to hear this news, I also know that this is a man who lived his life as freely and fully as possible, so I have no doubt that he left without many regrets!»
In his Instagram dedication, DebNair referred to Herd as his husband and shared a photo of their kiss. «My heart is so broken, I don’t have many words, but the fact that my husband has passed away is insane. Thank you to everyone who reached out. If you know, you know. I will miss him forever».
