Michael Wolff: controversial author of books about Trump and Epstein

Michael Wolff is no stranger to scandals. As the author of several books about Donald Trump and his presidency, this New Jersey native’s name became known again in November 2025 when emails between him and Jeffrey Epstein surfaced — most of which were dedicated to discussions about Trump and his alleged knowledge of Epstein’s human trafficking crimes. Trump was adamant in his position regarding Epstein, calling the deceased sex offender a «scumbag» and claiming that he kicked Epstein out of his Mar-a-Lago club.
According to ABC News, Wolff stated in a phone call that he cannot recall «specific emails or context» between his emails with Epstein, but he insisted that they represented a «deep conversation with Epstein at the time about his relationship with Donald Trump».
«At the time, I was trying to get Epstein to talk about his relationship with Trump, and he actually turned out to be an extremely valuable source for me», - Wolff said, citing a source. «Part of the context of this is that at the time I was trying to get Epstein to publicly talk about what he knew about Trump».
