Mindy Kaling is a powerhouse in the film industry. From writing and acting in «The Office» to creating her own TV shows, it’s clear that this Massachusetts native is a top talent in Hollywood. However, she also knows her priorities. As a mother of multiple children, Mindy has openly talked for years about motherhood and how she enjoys her life as a single mother.
During an interview with Marie Claire in August 2022, Mindy noted that she decided to have children in her own time. «I waited until I had the means, and it made all the difference», - she said, acknowledging the privileges she had and her feelings about the Roe v. Wade decision. «The choice to have a child — independently, on your own terms — was the best part of my life. It’s what I hope women will confidently do themselves».
Elsewhere in the interview, Mindy noted that she is «the only parent her children have» and emphasized that when it comes to her career in the public eye, she wants to «be extremely careful so that they have less reason to be dissatisfied later on».
