By the end of his speech, Joe noted that he had five months left in his presidency and that he had «a lot to do». «I intend to do it», - he said, adding, «It has been the honor of my life to serve as your president. The president concluded, admitting, «I have made many mistakes in my career. But I have given you all that I could. For 50 years, like many of you, I have given my heart and soul to our nation. And I have been blessed a million times over in response to the support of the American people. I was truly too young to be in the Senate because I was not yet 30, and now I am too old to remain president.
«But I hope you know how grateful I am to all of you», - he added. «I can honestly say, and I say this from the bottom of my heart, speaking as Biden: I can honestly say that I am more optimistic about the future than I was when I was elected as a 29-year-old US senator»
