If you can believe it, Daily Mail reporters are still screaming, crying, and feeling nauseous over the summer carousel on Instagram by the Duchess of Sussex. Meghan posted it on July 23, and royal supporters just can’t seem to react normally to it. They could simply shrug and say, «What beautiful photos». Or say, «The family seems to have had a wonderful summer vacation». Instead, one columnist from the Mail called Meghan «heartless and vulgar» for posting a photo from Althorp showing Lily, Archie, and Prince Harry walking around the estate. And that’s it. Meghan didn’t post a photo of Diana’s grave, nor did she share a picture of the moat or the island where Diana is buried. It was just a photo of Diana’s son and her grandchildren at the Spencer family estate. And that’s all. Nevertheless, Becky English from the Mail is also unhappy with the photo from Althorp, but she is also outraged by the photos from Portugal. Oh…

In the latest episode of Palace Confidential from Daily Mail, Rebecca English and Richard Eden discuss the «unusual» stream of images that Meghan posted on Instagram from the Sussexes' supposed private family vacation. This month, Harry, Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet crossed the Atlantic to spend time in Portugal and the UK. Meghan and the children were in the UK for just 24 hours, heading to Highgrove for a symbolic family reunion with King Charles.

Apparently, the trip was a private matter, as the location of the couple’s supposed home in Portugal was not disclosed, and Buckingham Palace announced the family’s visit to the UK only after Meghan and the children had left. However, last week, Meghan posted numerous photos from the trip on Instagram, including images near the couple’s alleged hideaway in Portugal. Particularly noteworthy is one photo showing Harry and Archie walking with flowers to Princess Diana’s island grave at Althorp, the Spencer family home in Northampton.

The royal editor English expressed surprise at the decision to publish these photos, claiming it was «hypocritical», - given Harry’s constant complaints about invasions of privacy and the media.

She said: «We have photos of Meghan in a swimsuit on the beach with Harry and the kids in the water, we have photos of local restaurants where they dined, local shops they visited. I find this quite unusual, considering the complaints they have made about their private lives and security issues. Particularly surprising was the photo of Harry and Archie with flowers in hand, clearly heading to the burial site of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales».

«Look, it’s each person’s choice what they decide to share online. I don’t share anything with my family. That’s my choice. But what I find surprising about this is that Harry has long complained about the exploitation of his mother’s memory. I think allowing such personal moments, like these photos, I personally find quite hypocritical. I think people will say that this in itself is exploitation».

Diary editor Eden agreed with his co-host, asserting that the images become even more problematic considering that Meghan’s Instagram account exists solely to promote her As Ever brand.

«This is a completely commercial enterprise», - he stated. «You don’t share these photos with friends. I find them quite strange, especially the photos from Althorp, because it’s a combination of showcasing the kids' backs—without revealing their full identities—but then you show them going to lay flowers on their grandmother’s grave for the first time. It’s a very intimate, personal moment, isn’t it? Recorded and shared. Even when you go there: someone must have said, 'Stop, I need to take a picture.'»
