Meghan Markle reportedly sent a letter to her father, Thomas Markle Sr., in 2025, informing him that she is aware of the allegations made against him. According to several publications, including Hello! and The Sun, Meghan wrote this letter last year while her father was in the hospital. In the letter, she allegedly stated that she would no longer communicate with him and that her children — Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet — would never meet their grandfather due to these allegations.
According to The Sun, the letter was delivered to Thomas’s bedside, where he was reportedly required to sign a document acknowledging its receipt. Meghan and her father have been estranged since 2018.
In a statement made on October 23, Meghan commented on the allegations against her father. She noted that in 2018, a letter was sent to the Metropolitan Police with concerning allegations against Thomas, and she was promised that these allegations would be investigated. Meghan emphasized that her decision to prevent her father from communicating with her children was driven by a desire to protect them.
The day before, her half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., told The Sun that he allegedly discovered materials related to child sexual abuse at Thomas Sr.'s home in the Philippines and reported them to the authorities. Thomas Sr. vehemently denied these allegations, calling them «sick lies».
He also refuted claims that he received a letter from Meghan with accusations, stating that if he had known the contents of the letter, he would have had the opportunity to defend himself.
