Megan Thee Stallion is getting everyone ready for «Hot Girl Summer». The 29-year-old rapper announced that her new album, simply titled «Megan», will be released soon. Fans have been waiting for a new album from Megan for two years, since the release of her last album «Traumazin» in 2022.
The album is being released during Megan’s world tour titled «Hot Girl Summer» with an opening act by GloRilla. Megan announced that her self-titled album will be released on June 28 in a short post on Instagram on Sunday, June 2. She simply posted the album cover and an announcement with the message «SURPRISE, GIRLS!!!»
The album cover shows Megan in a laboratory. She is emerging from a cocoon with butterfly wings visible on the outer shell of the doll. The illustration of her, sticking out from the bottom topless, is also visible. The room appears to be a futuristic laboratory space with a large tree in it. The cover also features a large design of the letter «M».
Megan has not released a tracklist for her album, but she has released several singles between 2023 and this year that have a thematic connection. Her songs «Cobra», «Hiss», and «Boa» all have a snake theme.
