Melissa Gilbert shared her feelings following the arrest of her husband, Timothy Busfield, who was accused of sexual misconduct with minors. On her Instagram on October 13, she wrote about the «uncertainty and confusion» in her life, adding that despite the difficult times, there is also joy and beauty within her.
Gilbert noted that when she feels insecure, it is enough for her to simply go outside and see the tranquility of nature. She added that she loves the place where she lives and signed the post with the hashtags #hope and #lovemylife.
Busfield, who is 69 years old, was arrested in January when New Mexico police issued a warrant for his arrest for inappropriate behavior with two minor twins during the filming of the series «The Cleaner», - several episodes of which he directed. In February, Busfield was charged with four counts of criminal sexual contact with a child and pleaded not guilty. His attorney, Larry Stein, stated that the charges are baseless and that Busfield will fight the allegations in court.
